A second set of eyes on every bid, and a partner for the paperwork.
Green Flag Bids does the slow parts of government bidding so your crew can stay on the job. Here's what happens behind each card and each packet.
1. We gather the bids
Each week we check the public bid postings for the counties, larger cities, school districts, and special districts, including community development districts (CDDs), across Lee, Collier, Charlotte, and Sarasota. We focus on grounds work: landscaping, mowing, tree care, irrigation, fencing, and pressure washing.
2. We read the whole document
We go through the solicitation, the scope, the insurance section, the required forms, and every addendum. We pull out what matters to a small crew: the size of the work, the term, how it's awarded, bonds, licenses, insurance limits, site visits, and the deadlines.
3. We score it for a crew like yours
Each bid gets a score from 1 to 10 and a plain label of Go, Maybe, or No-Go. The score weighs how big the job is against a typical small crew, how hard the paperwork is, and whether there are deal-breakers like a bond, unusual insurance, or a short deadline. Every card explains why it scored the way it did, so you can make your own call.
A good fit for a small crew with normal insurance and licenses.
Doable if you have one specific thing, such as a license or a larger crew.
A requirement most small crews can't meet, or a deadline that's too close.
4. A person checks it
We use AI to draft each card from the agency's own PDF, and then a person checks the dates, amounts, and requirements against the original before it goes out. Agencies sometimes change things by addendum, so every card links back to the official notice.
5. If you want to bid, we build the packet
Pick a bid and we'll prepare your packet. You can see what's included on the bid prep page.
Who does what
| We do | You do |
|---|---|
| Read the solicitation and every addendum | Decide whether to bid |
| Fill in the agency's forms from your profile | Set every price |
| Check your Sunbiz record, licenses, and insurance against the requirements | Sign the forms and get them notarized |
| Draft questions for you to send the agency | Send them yourself to the named contact |
| Give you a checklist and deadline calendar | Submit the bid on time |
We never contact an agency on your behalf, never submit a bid for you, and never prepare packets for two competing bidders on the same solicitation.
